Privacy Policy

Effective October 14, 2026. The short version: we do not collect your data.

Data not collected

WriteOff collects no personal data and no financial data. There is no account system, no sign-in, and no analytics SDK in the app. Your transactions, memos, categorization rules, and estimates never leave your iPhone except through your own iCloud backup, which Apple encrypts under your Apple ID.

On-device storage

Everything the app records is stored locally on your device using the operating system's private app storage. If you delete the app, the operating system removes that storage. If you use the in-app "Delete All My Data" button in Settings, the app wipes its own storage immediately. In both cases there is no server copy to request or chase, because none exists.

Purchases

WriteOff Pro subscriptions are processed entirely by the App Store. Apple handles payment and shares only what is needed to unlock your subscription. We do not see your card details and we do not keep purchase records on any server.

Tracking

We do not track you across apps or websites, we run no advertising SDKs, and we do not sell or share data with data brokers, because there is no data to sell or share.

Children

WriteOff is a tax tracking tool for adults with freelance income. It is not directed at children under 13, and we knowingly collect nothing from anyone.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new effective date. Any change that introduced data collection would also be disclosed in the app itself before it took effect.
